Abstract
Carmen Taylor is always dependable: she can be counted on to show up for work, help a friend in trouble, and be loyal to Burl, her wheelchair-bound boyfriend. But underneath her strong facade, trouble is brewing. Although she feels responsible for the accident that paralyzed Burl, she loves Chester, whom she has known her whole life.
